Question for written answer E-000798/2018
to the Commission
Rule 130
Hans-Olaf Henkel (ECR)
Subject:
Tibet
The President of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile Lobsang Sangay mentioned at a meeting of
Parliament’s Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI) in January that Tibet has practiced democracy
over the 60 years of Chinese presence instead of resorting to violence.
Is the EU putting Tibet on the back burner due to the fact that non-violence does not make the
situation seem critical?
